Frequently Asked Questions
Is the class suitable if they have never done Martial Arts before?
Absolutely. This is why our Tailored Introductory Lesson's are perfect for them. They spend some time with one of our instructors who will tailor their first lesson to ensure they are learning new skills and improving their confidence from lesson 1.
Is the Tailored Introductory Class free?
For this personalised lesson, we charge a small fee of $25. If joining early in the Term, this $25 fee will be deducted from your Term fees if you book in by the following week.
Can we watch the class?
Absolutely. We have a designated wait area where you can view the lesson. From here you can see how your child is going in the program, and you can also see how the other students are participating in the class to give you an idea of how we run our programs. To limit distractions, the wait area is partitioned off to ensure students focus on the lesson.

Welcome to JAI
Established in 1984, JAI Martial Arts (formally known as JAI Taekwondo) has been working with families all over Sydney. As a family run business, we have always taken pride in our quality of care, instruction and attention to our students.
Founded by Grandmaster Joe, alongside his wife Elly, and their son Master Chris. You can rest assured knowing that our family is there for every lesson.
Our team of dedicated instructors have all grown up in the JAI environment. Having started their journey as young kids, they understand the JAI culture and continue to showcase the standard of care and attention that comes from JAI.
